The Charlevoix Circle of Arts is hosting “Art Dog at the Movies” on Wednesday March 29thbeginning at 5:30 p.m. This will be the inaugural fundraising event of its kind to help support the arts in the greater Charlevoix region. The newly developed concept of “Art Dog” will be popping up in the community to create a fun and approachable way to integrate the arts with patrons being able to participate at all levels.

On Wednesday, March 29, at 109 Clinton Street, the event will begin with gourmet hot dogs and more. Guests will be able to get a sneak preview of the upcoming Juried Fine Arts Exhibition and mingle with friends and neighbors. On-hand will be members of the board of directors, the executive director, volunteers and others that are committed to the growing relationship that the Circle of Arts is developing across the region.

After the preview, at seven p.m., guests may walk over to the Charlevoix Cinema III for a movie of their choice that is included in the $20 ticket price for the event. “The Circle of Arts wants to thank Luther and Mary Kurtz for their generosity of opening up the cinema to us to help support our mission of cultivating a more inspired and educated community through the arts,” explains Gail DeMeyere, executive director at the Circle. “We are striving to incorporate community wide events that give us the opportunity to highlight the reasons that make Charlevoix a special place to live”.
