Jax Northside Food & Spirits, the newest Wineguys Restaurant Group addition, is Charlevoix’s answer to the roadhouse of the 21st century. On the edge of Charlevoix, overlooking the 6th green of the Charlevoix Municipal Golf Course, Jax offers great food, locally sourced and creatively prepared. Patrons will find the same variety of libations appreciate at other Wineguys restaurants — from small batch brews to a good ol’ PBR, from fine wines to craft cocktails.

Extremely good, flavorful restaurant right off the main drag and golf course in Charlavoix. All of our food was perfect from the wings, to the pasta, and the burgers. Would highly recommend if your driving down the western coast of Michigan.

Stopped in while traveling. My husband and I happened to stumble in at happy hour which was awesome! We split a couple of appetizers and then got drinks and split a meal. There was only 1 waitress taking orders and making drinks on the bar side and she hustled. The restaurant got busier as we were enjoying our food and she never missed a beat. Great food and service.

The food was definitely not worth the prices. The portions aren't worth it. The service was amazing, our Waitress was very sweet and attentive. I enjoyed the salad bar, but then the flank steak was way under cooked. The mashed potatoes were bland as well as the vegetable. The "brisket" sandwich is really chuck roast and bland as well.

First off, the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. It was clean and the music was awesome!! The food?? Even better! I ordered the Western Burger. The thing was huge! Cooked to order which, for me is rare. The service was excellent too! I was seated immediately. I was torn between the Rueben and the Western Burger. The waiter suggested the burger!! It was spot on!! I will definitey spread the word, and will be a returning customer!!!

The food was overall pretty bad. Mashed potatoes bland and kind of dry, whitefish was fishy but otherwise tasteless. Dessert was meh. Atmosphere was kind of like a Denny's. Service was pleasant and good.
