As one of the fastest growing wineries in the state of Michigan, Mackinaw Trail Winery was able to build a brand new state of the art facility in Petoskey, MI. This allowed the winery to continue its growth without sacrificing the quality of their products. The new winery sits on 30 acres of beautiful rolling hills which are planted with 15 acres of grapes. In its first year at the new facility, Mackinaw Trail has taken over 50 medals and 6 best of class awards. In its ten years of operation, Mackinaw Trail continues to be one of the most awarded and recognized wineries in the state of Michigan. With four tasting rooms in the state of Michigan, a large production facility, and the growing support from their loyal customers, Mackinaw Trail Winery is the “North Star” of the Michigan wine industry.

My wife and I stopped in for some excellent wine flights and appetizers and had a great time! The family/staff are so accommodating and friendly, and stayed well after closing time to allow us to finish our wine and chat with us. Will be back whenever we’re in the area again!

Had a most wonderful dinner tonight! Beautiful night to enjoy the wine and the views from the porch! Wine is delicious. The owner Laurie was the best hostess! She is warm, welcoming and funny! We loved her! Would come back just to see her! But would also get more delicious wine! Highly recommend!

Mackinaw Trail Winery is a true gem in the wine world. From the moment you step foot on the property, you are enveloped in the beauty of the vineyards and the warmth of the staff. The wines are absolutely outstanding - each one has its own unique character and complexity. The reds are full-bodied and rich, while the whites are crisp and refreshing. The tasting room is cozy and inviting, pet friendly and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend visiting Mackinaw Trail Winery for a truly memorable wine experience. Value - fair Ambiance - it’s great, you can actually hear your dates and very pet friendly Service - excellent and friendly Taste - great Overall - I recommend ♥️

What a great place! We happened to sit on the patio with (what we found out to be is) the owner. He was super personable! We had a great conversation and even got to see the behind the screen operations. Highly recommend!!! The wine, beer and whitefish dip are great!!! Definitely must try - don’t miss out!
