Here's a more detailed and descriptive version of the review: --- The Argonne House in Charlevoix delivers a no-frills dining experience with reliably solid food and attentive service. The cocktails are expertly crafted, adding a touch of sophistication to the evening. The atmosphere is loud and festive, creating a lively and energetic vibe that's perfect for a night out with friends or family. The decor is charmingly rustic, and the cheerful ambiance makes you feel right at home. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fun place to enjoy a meal, The Argonne House is a fantastic choice.

I've been here many times and have never been disappointed! Servers have always been great and the food is delicious. The shrimp is the best with that mustard sauce. So so good. I was a little confused the last time we were there because we were sat at a high top with an 8 month old. They gave us a high chair and the chair felt like it was on the ground compared to how high we were. BUT in their defense, I'm not sure if the person who made the reservation mentioned that we needed a high chair. Altogether an amazing restaurant!

My wife and I ate there for our 28th Anniversary. The entire experience was great. It was our first time there. My wife and I both had the shrimp (it says that is what they are known for) and it was outstanding. Our server was friendly and on point. Loved the coleslaw, bread with olive oil, butter, and balsamic vinegar. Wild rice cooked to perfection. Locally sourced asparagus. Not only will we come back, we will bring others.

My husband and I were in Lake Charlevoix to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary for a few days. I saw this restaurant on Yelp that had good reviews. The menu looked like a good variety to select from. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. It had a warm, soft decor, spacious, exceptional, food, and exceptional service! We definitely plan on coming back the next time we are in town!

We had a fantastic dinner here. It’s a nice restaurant. Almost feels nicer than it is if that makes sense. Meaning it feels more dressy than it is. The bar is nice, good selection of drinks. Then there is the food. It’s really good! Everything everyone at the table had was well received. I got the famous shrimp. I will say I’m biased to steamed over fried. I would definitely go back. Left too full really but there are worse things! Get there early or be prepared to wait.
