Loved the spot - great overlook of the lake. Beer variety is nice & sure to improve as they grow. Dunkel, IPA’s and Red were my favorites from the flight we shared. The burritos & tacos were tasty. But the self service, pick up at the window & paper & plastic utensils have to be improved to get 5 stars. Did buy a 6 pack to go and had a great time here. Love to come here on next Michigan trip. Restrooms clean & easy to find. Wheelchair accessible.

Great place for a brew and quick bite. Stay for sunset on the patio. Bring sunglasses or buy them there. And beware of sunset hoggers that stand right in front of your picture. Haha They have fun live music too at the Root Cellar just below Beards!

Very unimpressed! The concept is very confusing. While sitting at the bar, I heard 5 different groups mention how confusing it was. No one greating you, no direction, pay at the bar and sit where you'd like. You'll get a text when your food is ready and thank you for waiting on yourself. We sat at the bar and when the food came, we asked the bartender for some silverware and she pointed to an area in the restaurant and said that the condiments and utensils are over there. I understand the attempt to cut costs by eliminating staff, but the mediocre food, served on paper plates with find your own plastic ware, is more expensive than many of the better places around, that have much more impressive dishes and a full wait staff. I actually hated my experience here. The prices are even higher than the menu posted on their website. The Poke bowl is now $26. The Chicken Sandwich is now $20 plus $4 for fries. The view was nice, but not nice enough for me to ever return.

It must be the view that keeps this place in business. Its been on an annual decline over the past few yrs. We stop in once a year over the Fourth of July weekend that we spend up north. Last year, our food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. This time around our food was terrible. My wife’s chicken sandwich was not cooked thoroughly enough to consume. My tacos were a mess. The service was nonexistent. It is 100% self-service now. Sadly, and ironically as a brewery, their beer is mediocre. Judging by the body language of other patrons, most seem disappointed that were present. Absolutely won’t waste our time going back again.

Best brewery I've been to in Petoskey. The beer is good, the food is great, and both pale in comparison to the high quality service. This is a must visit when in Petoskey.
