Nice and clean. I think $20 per cat per day is a little expensive.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into my room was the smell of smoke and mold in my non smoking room. I noticed the bathroom has mold on the ceiling. We stayed here for 3 nights. The smell of mold is so strong it is making me sick. I’m not sure if it’s coming from the carpet or somewhere else. I thought breakfast was included but all I saw was yogurt and fruit cups. No waffles like I read. The staff seems friendly. No complaint with them. This place needs to be completely renovated.

Perhaps it was impacted by the COVID virus, but it just did not feel inviting. Our King room was dated though clean and functional. Price was what captured us and its rating.

Although I cancelled a stay here I was impressed with Kelly on the phone. She was very pleasant & friendly. Kelly is a great addition to this Hotel.

My girlfriend and I booked a trip to the Charlevoix area for our anniversary. We had reserved a deluxe king suite, but when we arrived to check-in, they told us that "an error with their system" meant that our room was not reserved. Instead, we were given a room with two double beds that had a door to the room beside it, and a 15% discount. We thought we could deal with that... until we walked into our room, and it smelled musty and everything was outdated. Again, the door to the room next to us meant we could hear everything that went on next door. The room felt unclean, to the point that we didn't want to actually use the furniture for the fear of smelling like the room. For breakfast, we were given the option of fruit cups and frozen breakfast sandwiches from Wal-Mart that we had to cook ourselves. I attempted to call the front desk at one point with the hotel phone, and although the call went through, the front desk staff apparently could not hear me. The staff were friendly enough, but I can't help but resent the likelihood that they sold the room we had reserved. On the bright side, the beds were comfortable enough once you get used to the smell and the appliances and technology (minus the phone) functioned well. In all, the Charlevoix Inn and Suites is not as nice as it looks on their website. It is musty, outdated, and their management is disfunctional. We are not particularly picky people-- but for the money we spent, we expected better. I would not recommend this hotel. Do not waste your time and money here.
