The Earl, Charlevoix’s newest redesigned boutique hotel is located a block from Round Lake and minutes from Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. We had a great experience at the Earl. We upgraded our room at check in and loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night! Great staff (Brandon was so helpful), great location and very reasonably priced! The included breakfast was more than enough and the free specialty coffee/espresso/hot cocoa was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel itself was clean and beautiful. We will most definitely be back!

We had a wonderful weekend stay. The rooms are very spacious and we loved the layout of our one bedroom suite. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a balcony. The breakfast was great with lots of options and a specialty coffee maker.

The Hotel and rooms were very nice! The Hotel was clean afordably priced for off season. We were offered an upgrade at check in which was great! The bathroom was very large with an nice big shower. The location was great and seems to be a short walk to town but since the bridge was being worked on it was up from 7pm to 7am. The free breakfast bar was good too, my only complaint would be the price of two drinks in the bar seemed a bit high to me, and the girl working didn't seem very comfortable making drinks they were definitely not worth the $26. No ice in a pint glass of orange juice with a one ounce shot. Hopefully the high bar has a better bartending staff. But overall a nice place to stay.

Easy 5star for me!! Super reasonable rates in winter at $160, and for only $10 more they upgraded us at check-in. Super friendly workers, decent breakfast, 24/7 espresso machine, very cool lobby and bar (didn’t get to high bar as it’s closed for season), nice hot tub & bottled water provided! We partook in the frostbite trail, and got free shuttle bus to 4 wineries - it was fantastic! Only negative I can think of, is that the heater was pretty loud when it came on…

I had the pleasure of staying for a quick overnight trip last week. I was pleasantly surprised! The room was very nicely decorated. There seems to have been a lot of attention paid to details. I loved it! We went down to the bar for a couple of drinks and appetizers. The bar area was just as nice! The food, however, was not! I would have thought that such a nice hotel would a least have decent food, it was barely edible. You would do better to not offer any food at all. I would definitely stay again, but I would go elsewhere for something to eat.
