Since its inception in the early summer of 2018, people have been raving about Jax Northside Food and Spirits. We had to try this new restaurant for ourselves, so we headed over to Jax to try their menu.
Located on the north-side of town, directly on US -31, Charlevoix’s newest restaurant overlooks the 6th hole of the Municipal Golf Course. Jax Northside Restaurant and Spirits is a “New-American” restaurant with a modern-rustic décor and a closed in porch with sweeping views of green fairways.
Jax’s menu has many options, making it difficult to choose what you want to eat! We started off by ordering the hot wings and hand battered fried mushroom appetizers which we would highly recommend. Jax has some pretty tasty burgers! Two of our favorite options were the mushroom burger and the Jax burger (build your own). Burgers are the perfect size for lunch or dinner and they’re cooked to perfection. We can’t forget to mention the french fries and onion rings being some of the best in town. They’re awesome and we’re craving more!
If you’re looking for lighter fare, Jax has a nice assortment of salads on their menu or you can build your own salad with their impressive salad bar. They have a great unlimited soup and salad combination, making it perfect for lunch.
Other noteworthy menu option includes: the pistachio encrusted Whitefish (John Cross Fisheries), ribeye and baked Ziti. If you’re bringing your kiddos, we’re happy to report this restaurant is extremely family friendly.
