Tour was fun, but a tad stressful! We are inexperienced city folks. We wanted a water experience while on vacation, but weren’t ready for kayaking. Overall, it was a lot of fun and we had a lot of laughs. But this is not an easy float down the river. There were many more obstacles than we anticipated. Our family of 5 (kids 14, 12 and 9) had a little trouble navigating the river. We could have used more help from the staff. They didn’t help us get in or out of the raft. Instead of keeping the raft steady and up against the shore, the two staff members just stood there and watched while we got in. We felt very unprepared going into the experience until one staff member showed me a video. I found it super helpful to watch what we were getting ready to navigate, but would’ve appreciated some helpful steering tips from the pros. Everyone was super friendly though. *Important to note we went after a full day of rain and finished the 1.5 hour raft trip in an hour due to fast flowing waters.

This was so much fun! An even better experience than we had expected! The rafts were super comfortable and the views were amazing! We had never been winter rafting before, but true to their promise, we stayed completely dry and had hot chocolate (or tea or hot cider) and cookies halfway through. Our guide was very fun and knowledgeable and it was so peaceful on the water! 1000% you should go here and have this experience!

The float trip with Jordan Valley Outfitters was an incredibly wonderful experience. The snow from the previous days made it a serene and magical trip. Our guide was informative and friendly. We were provided extra blankets for the trip and hot cocoa and homemade cookies on the ride back. This is an excursion that I highly recommend and I would definitely do again.

We rented the large raft for eight people. The trail we were given was very narrow. We were forced at all times to try to maneuver between large falling trees in our way and dead ones. At one point my granddaughter was scraped on her arm and back by dead branches from a tree we could not avoid. What makes that even worse is she is 7 1/2 months pregnant. The water was so shallow that we would sometimes get stuck on the dead tree logs embedded in the water. At no time were we able to enjoy a nice tube ride on this river. I’m 71 years old and even had to help push us away from trees in our way or get hit in the head from them and others too. This was supposed to be a fun family activity but it wasn’t. Frankly, we wanted to come back to where we checked in and paid but we were just too exhausted! I truly feel we should be reimbursed for this as it was not enjoyable at all!
