Mammoth distills craft spirits that capture the essence of their Northern Michigan home. Overlooking the glacial waters of Torch Lake, they are inspired by the beauty that surrounds them in every season. Their 650-liter copper pot still from Goppingen, Germany, produces vodka, gin, rum whiskey, bourbon and brandy. They use locally grown grains and botanicals including corn and rye from Harbor Springs, lavender from Petoskey, apples and pears from Bellaire, cherries from Traverse City and white pine from Central Lake.

We stopped here at the Central Lake location on a day drive of the area. We left with several bottles of the Bloody Mary mix and vodka rhubarb and strawberry. The drinks were all fantastic, there is a large menu of choices. Drew was working that day and he was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. This is a place the locals love. They have several locations and i can’t wait to get home and start mixing.

Such a fun spot in Central Lake- great atmosphere, cool decore and wonderful craft cocktails. Been here a few times and they have a great spot in Bellaire too!

We went here after dinner to do a sample taste testing of the local distillery options. They included vodka, rye, whiskey, rum & bourbon. They are just getting started but already have a loyal following. The decor is fun & feels like an old fashioned speakeasy. (They are already selling hats & tshirts.) Soon they will be serving food, probably small plates & I am sure that will add to the crowds.

The flight is a great opportunity to try all of the spirits the make. I'm not a hard alcohol trinker and actually enjoyed sipping everything the make, especially the aged bourbon. We bought so much we were entered into a raffle... still waiting to hear if we won😁. Worth sampling.
