Very packed when we arrived but ended up being a very enjoyable visit. I’m a huge Ween fan so we enjoyed the tributes to the band via the decor and menu! The beers were really nice and the food was delicious and a hit with my young boys. Definitely recommend!

The beer and the atmosphere were awesome! One of the bartenders was not very helpful or friendly. She was the blonde behind the main bar today. We were trying to get recommendations as we are from out of town and she couldn’t have cared less. Luckily there was another bartender who was so much more friendly! Buffalo chicken dip and the nachos were so delicious!!!! Beer, Food, and Atmosphere were 5 stars. Customer service was a 3 maybe. Check out the sign that screams we are impatient behind the bar lol… yikes.

Our car needed some repairs for the afternoon, so we decided to wander the town. We came across Shorts around lunchtime not really knowing what to expect, but we were blown away! To begin, our server was so friendly and upbeat. He lightened up our moods so quickly. The atmosphere of the place is super welcoming and also upbeat. There were families, couples, even people sitting with laptops doing their work! We grabbed some appetizers and drinks and enjoyed our afternoon here. The drinks are really well priced and also delicious too! Our food was also phenomenal: we got the buffalo chicken dip and pretzels. Ever had homemade pretzels from scratch? Well, this place has got 3 of them as an appetizer with 3 incredible dipping options: hot mustard, beer cheese, and PB&J. I highly recommend this place for food, drinks, casual hangout, etc. We wish we could be in town longer to experience their beer garden and live music events! They look super fun!

Delicious!! Everything we had we loved. The warm pretzels come with cheese, honey mustard and Pb&J!! Yum!!! So many good food & drink choices. Nice atmosphere and service was excellent.

We love Short’s! We’ve been back multiple times each year that we’ve been to the Torch Lake area. Their food is outstanding, and in my opinion the best Craft Beer in Michigan (try the Slurm if you like NE IPA). From their service levels to the outstanding music at the Beer Garden across the street, you’ll hand a great experience here! Highly recommend!
