Shorts is a Northern Michigan staple and has gained regional recognition for their impressive craft beer menu. This local brewery has gained state and national recognition for their innovative beer names. Known for its Soft Parade, Bellaire Brown, and Huma Lupa Licious, the brew pub also offers numerous unique beers that cannot be found in stores. Try their Chocolate Wheat ale, an amazingly smooth and drinkable porter style beer. Gitchy Gitchy Ooh La La is brewed with nontraditional ingredients such as cucumber, lemon and lilac. This tasty blend creates a fun tasting experience. Shorts always has tons of new beers being added to their tap list. Make sure to save room for food, as their menu does not disappoint (our fav is the White Pepper sammy). View the complete beer menu here

Excellent Pizza!! While visiting the area for a Freedom Rally, we were tired and hungry and took a chance hoping for fast - good food. As we drove by, they looked to be very busy, on a nice summer Friday evening we thought we would have to wait an hour.... But, We were not disappointed, the staff were very nice on the phone taking the order, and to our surprise it was ready in less than 20 minutes, they texted me when it was ready, and pick-up was fast and effortless, and it was Delicious!! Take my word for it, Shorts it one of the Best Pizzas in Michigan!!! If you are in the Very Nice Town of Bellaire, take the time to eat at Shorts, it clearly is run by a top notch ownership and staff!!

Fun brewery experience with great food and a cool gift shop. We were there on an off-season weekday, so it wasn't busy, but we still had to get a reservation to dine in. Once it was time for our reservation, we were seated immediately and our server was there right away getting our drink order. We did a tasting flight with five beer samplers for 10 bucks, and got a large pizza which would probably feed three to four people because the two of us had 4 pieces left over after eating our fill. Beer was fabulous, but there was really no doubt that that was going to be the case. The pizza has a beer crust which was delightful if you like chewy thick crust pizza. You can build your own pizza and get pretty much anything you want on them. They also had a lot of sandwiches and salads on the menu. Stopped at the gift shop the next day, and grabbed some beer and merch to go. We'd love to visit again in the future, maybe even when it's busier just to enjoy the energy.

I have never written a review before because I have never felt the need to. Shorts brewery’s pizza needs to be nationally if not globally recognized. I could never speak more highly about an establishments food service, and for an establishment that is known for its alcohol I find it very impressive. I have had 5 different pizzas from Short’s while passing through town and can now safely say that no Chicago/New York/Brooklyn pizza could compare to this mid-west tucked away gem!

Great brewery, great beer, great food, great staff. Short's is an absolute great place to visit but they also put out some of the best beer in the state. It's worth picking it up lucky or stopping in to get your hands on things that aren't distributed. Keep it up.
