Springbrook is forgiving enough for the beginner, yet challenging enough for the avid golfer. Carts are available but are not required. The Grill on the Hill Restaurant overlooks the front 9 providing beautiful views. The restaurant, which includes a full-service bar, serves lunch and dinner daily throughout the golf season. Their restaurant and bar are open year around!! During the Fall and Winter months, we are open Thursday  – Sunday, serving food and beverages for the snowmobile crowd.  They are always the first course to open in the Spring and the last to close in Fall. The clubhouse is also available for receptions and private parties with seating up to 150 people. They're a great place for a class reunion, wedding reception, club meeting, etc. They can also put together golf, lodging, and meal packages tailored to your needs. Hesitating to give the place 4 stars, but as it currently sits I think it's fair. I've played here a few times over the years. There's no such thing as a fairway or first cut on this course. It's 100% just short mowed grass halfway between fairway and rough. But between a lacking irrigation & weeds it needs to remain long to have an chance at a reasonable lie. $40 for 18 holes is an okay value considering: the greens are healthy and playable, a little slow, but not infested with weeds or dead spots. Black bear ( ~10 miles away) is way, ( and I mean worlds of difference ) nicer and usually $19-$24 for 18 if you look for deals, so I personally wouldn't play here unless I plan on slicing every ball. If you like backyard, drinking golf. Or, your a really bad player I can see this place filling a niche spot. As a majority of holes are 2-3 fairways next to each other with no real hazards. So you can find the ball pretty easy ( besides the fact the fairways are long cut). There's no real features, or challenges. Most holes are dead straight, 8+ are 100% straight, some holes have an occasional bend, 1 or 2 30' ponds, and about 15' of total elevation change. 2-3 holes in all fairness have a decent elevation change. All in all I guess the best way to describe it is: a backyard course, with fair greens, at an okay value. Truly not trying to insult the place, in all honesty compared to other affordable course, the price would seem more inviting around $26-$33 as a throw away practice round.

Springbrook is just a breath of fresh air compared to a-gaming, boyne, bay harbor, etc. the whole vibe is just chill, no pressure from range dudes, the pro shop lady was fantastic and just happy we came out and wanted us to have fun. Less than 3 hrs my son and I were done with 18, good pace on Sunday in northern mi to say the least. Great food. Just a great place for amateur golfers like me.

This is a Diamond in the Ruff! Awesome and affordable 18 hole course you must try! We always golf here when in the area at least once. Beer is cold and the food is good. We just happened to hit 75¢ wing night! At Salty's bar & grill in the club house. A great day on the links!

A good place for food and priced right golf. The course is so so, however, hard to beat the price. The restaurant is a huge improvement over the rundown condition of a couple years ago. Pleasant views from up high in the restaurant area overlooking part of the course and the hills. We ordered burgers and they were great for the price. Reason for 4 stars my wife's burger was way overcooked. Mine was cooked how I liked it (medium to medium rare.) My wife was so hungry after 9 holes she didn't send her burger back. Was hoping the waitress would adjust the bill, however, she didn't. My Mother in law ordered a salad and loved it. I will say the service was excellent. All said and done I do recommend the restaurant and I'm sure we'll be back. Edit on 6-20-20. All the above still applies, however, this time around both my wife's and my burger was cooked well done as opposed to medium rare. Way can't the cook(s) get that right..?

Do yourself a favor, skip the hotdogs. Our group of 12 all ordered dogs at the turn and to our displeasure all 12 were stone cold upon the first bite. I’m not even sure if they put them on the grill. Other than that, the course was nice for $40 a round.
