Located downtown Boyne City, Stiggs Brewing Company can be found in the historical Alpena Railroad building. This once bustling railroad depot promises to be the next great addition to the Michigan craft beer scene. The Screaming Tree IPA is an American hops and barley ale that’s well balanced and smooth. The Boyne Logger is a Vienna Style Lager that is lightly hopped and visitors a chance unwind after a busy day.  The Swoopy Swallow is a Weizenbier that has a wheaty malt flavor with an extremely crisp finish. Stiggs serves pub food with a twist derived from local farmers and vendors paired with Stiggs hand crafted beers and other Michigan wines and spirits.

The shared meat platter was phenomenal. Large portion of ribs, brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, beans and out of this world cornbread. The staff was so helpful. The pineapple orange seltzer was the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back. It’s the best service and food we’ve ever experienced. So impressed by this establishment.

Meat platter was awesome, pulled breakfast. Awesome, probably the best brisket I've ever had. The citrus Chipotle BBQ is wonderful as well.

Stiggs Chili - Sweet Potato chili, topped with brisket, cheese, & sour cream. I added a piece of cornbread with maple butter. I also had a side of Blistered Brussels Sprouts with Korean bbq glaze, feta and sliced apples. This was a perfect meal that had great flavors that pleased the palette.

We loved everything about our visit to Stiggs. Our server, Dan, was quick to offer us tastes of beer and the bartender sent over another one he thought we might like. We ordered a pork Cubano and a brisket sandwich, one with the suggested fuggle fries. Excellent! Our flights were tasty and well presented. The old building is amazing and Dan showed us the very cool vault room.Great place, can't wait to return.

I had the vegan sweet potato chili. I got a bowl because it was my entree. It had four tablespoons of chili….were they running out??! It was just ok. Good thing I added the roasted Brussel sprouts which were superb! Served with feta and apple in a balsamic sauce. I also had a piece of corn bread with maple butter. Advise: serve it warm. It was cold and rather bland. I couldn’t get any flavor from the maple butter.
