My family and I had a wonderful time on our fishing trip with Ward Marina. The staff is courteous and personable, which is a big deal to me on a paid fishing trip, especially when my kids and wife are involved! Everyone, young and old, male and female, was treated respectfully. The boat is very nice, clean and comfortable. The captain is knowledgeable and put us on the fish, including a 15 lb lake trout. I highly recommend Ward Marina fishing charters!

The Ward Brothers staff is awesome! They found the carburetor parts I needed put them on the Beaver Island Ferry for me, and I was able to retrieve them at the Beaver Island dock a couple hours later. I was then able to rebuild our outboard carb and take my kids fishing. If you can imagine the looks on your kids' faces when you get to the family cottage for a weeks' vacation and break the news that there might not be boat rides or fishing - then you know what lifesavers Ward Bros. are!

Russ and Cole recently took us out on a multi-generational trout fishing excursion. We made some lasting memories and caught a lot of lake trout with this professional and easy going crew. They showed us the ropes and even cleaned the fish in record time when we docked. Had a great time and will be back for salmon the next time!

We had an amazing morning of trout fishing with Ward Brothers. My husband fished with this 75+ yr Charlevoix institution when he was a child and was thrilled to take our kids out with the next generation of Ward captains. Russ and Drew were patient, professional, and very knowledgeable. My kids loved every minute, and we have a freezer stocked with fresh Lake Trout :) Thank you Ward Brothers!

We rented a Tritoon from Ward Brothers this past week. Check in was swift as we had already paid in advance. They require a $150 damage deposit in cash which I did not know because I did not read that when I booked. I usually pay by CC for those things. I was thankful I had cash in my pocket. My fault, not theirs. The very nice lady processed me quickly and was very friendly. The young lady who walked me through the boat and the inspection was great. Thorough and pleasant. We went though items of importance and inventoried to make sure there were plenty of fenders for docking. I requested additional lines so I could dock from either side without having to change up lines which they accommodated immediately. She shoved me off and away I went. The boat handled great and we loved the week we had with it. Very comfortable and well maintained. Upon return, I showed damage that had occurred two hours prior when docked at our rental house when the waves kicked up a fender and the dock rubbed the side. Despite being right there to correct it immediately the scrapes occurred. I was disappointed on my own account and very apologetic. They took it in stride and charged me what i think was low for the damage, but what do i know. In all accounts Ward brothers is the best. Great for fuel ups, price, quality and awesome attitudes all around. What a great staff all week. I really felt like they valued me. I have rented from two other places on Lake Charlevoix over the years and each of those places a few times. Ward Brothers is definitely the best hands down and I found a new partner.
