The elegant Great Egret is a dazzling sight in many a Michigan wetland. These are large birds with impressive wingspans. Watercolorist Megan Swoyer will lead you down a path featuring various watercolor techniques to capture the whites of the feathers, the yellow-orange bills and black legs. We’ll also mix up some fabulous greens to echo those in the marsh land. Our sky can take on whatever hues you’d like, even a dawn or sunset vibe!
Next we’ll capture a slice of quintessential Mackinac with a hanging container brimming with pretty geraniums popping against a vintage yellow structure. We’ll have fun creating leafy foliage, a beckoning window, and more!
This class is for all levels watercolorists. Megan Always goes step by step and students leave with a hand-out with those steps in case they want to try it again!
