Rolene is a knowledgeable fiber person who also has a very warm and inviting personality. One feels drawn in to a fiber-y world that is both cozy and full of creativity! And she’s there to help set you off into that world! I bought Jamison Shetland wool from her this past September and it was a joy to spin. I’m glad she now carries this brand- the yarn, too. Nice person, pretty good selection, you know how hard it is to compete w internet and w Joann fabrics. We bought some yarn and a pattern. Parked about 100 feet away on the sidestreet. Had some high end yarn and some common too. Not one of those super fancy stores for rich people.

Not a very large store carrying endless amounts of yarn, but is very well stocked with all the tools you need to knit, crochet and spin? I'm only guessing at the spinning part, but there were a lot of spinning wheels and tools I had no clue about (I'm only a knitter). Owner is very sweet and easily engages in conversation like you've known her forever. Lucky for me I did find some tools I've been searching for (my LYS carries TONS of yarn but not as many tools as Mother of Purl) so it was a win win for me! Also found a lovely skein of lace weight yarn (the only one in that shade) but is perfect for a shawl project I have in mind. All in all, a decent place with a very pleasant owner. I'll be sure to stop by again!

Super friendly owner and bunches of cool yarn! So stopping in again next time I'm up north even if it is put of the way lol. Also, miss Sadie is an awesome shop doggo!
