Charlevoix Circle of Arts is excited to announce the return of its annual Plein Air Paint Out, taking place on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11, 2025. This much-loved event invites both local and visiting artists to celebrate the natural beauty of Charlevoix by creating artwork outdoors throughout the community. The French phrase “en plein air” means “in the open air,” a nod to the tradition of painting outside. Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate and capture Charlevoix’s inspiring scenery—whether it's lake views, historic architecture, bustling parks, or charming downtown streets. The event culminates in a festive Paint Out Reception and Summer Salon Open House on Friday, July 11, from 5–7 p.m. at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts. Guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and meet the artists at this special gathering, which takes place both under the tent on the front lawn and inside the gallery. The reception is free and open to the public, and all artwork created during the Paint Out—as well as pieces from the Summer Salon—will be available for purchase. Artists may register online by July 6.
