Switchback- A Celtic Christmas Concert in Charlevoix

1st Congregational UCC in Charlevoix is pleased to host a “Celtic Christmas” celebration featuring the band SWITCHBACK with Martin McCormack and Brian FitzGerald. The show will take place on Sunday, November 24 with doors open at 7 p.m. and the band taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 101 State St, in downtown Charlevoix. The concert will feature a “wonderful wintry mix” of traditional Irish music, plus all the great holiday standards. Also included will be a selection of songs from SWITCHBACK 's award-winning catalog of over 300 original tunes which have been described as “breathtaking scenery for your ears.” The duo has shared the stage with everyone from the legendary Irish band The Chieftains to the Moody Blues. The band regularly tours Ireland and has been featured on the national radio network, RTE, as well as voted the top Irish musical duo by the Irish Music Association. “With Everly Brothers harmonies and whirlwind and soulful guitar and mandolin work, Switchback romps and reels with audacity and talent.” – Performing Songwriter Magazine Switchback's “Celtic Christmas” is always a crowd pleaser with lots of audience involvement, colorful stories of their travels around the US, and abroad, and a healthy dose of comedy thrown in for good measure. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the church office, Tues-Thurs, 9a-3p. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Charlevoix Agency on Aging Home Delivered Meals Program.
