The creation of canvas floor cloths dates back to the Victorian era. These canvas carpets are used to beautify and protect wooden floors.  You will have the opportunity to create your own unique design on a canvas cloth and learn the finishing techniques to make it a piece of functional art in your home.

During the three session class, students will on the first day, cut, prime, square, and hem the canvas, and ap ply two top coats of an acrylic base color of their own choosing.  During the second meeting, the class will paint a design of their own choosing.  On the final day, they will finish the design and apply the coats of finish varnish.
