Charlevoix, MI Holiday Events and Happenings

The holiday season brings so many fun events and a festive atmosphere to the Charlevoix area. We’ve created a list of our 6 favorite things to do and places to visit during the months of November and December.

  1. Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade
Don’t miss Charlevoix’s official kick-off to the holiday season. This event takes place on Black Friday so you can enjoy great discounts at downtown stores, live music, a holiday parade, pictures with Santa, free kids activities, and the grand finale is the holiday tree lighting.
  2. Visit the Boss House for a Holiday Light Display
The holiday lighting display of the Boss House is a community staple in Charlevoix. Enjoy a dazzling display of holiday lights, Christmas trees, and a possible Santa and Mrs. Clause sighting. This is one of our favorite places to visit during the holiday season. The Boss house is located on McSauba and Pearl St.
  3. Castle Farm’s Train Wonderland
Visit the majestic snow-covered grounds of Castle Farms. On December 2nd and 3rd, the Castle will be hosting Train Wonderland with over 20 model trains including the famous Polar Express. There will be toddler-sized trains to ride, face painting, and games. Also, don’t miss story time with Santa!
  4. Charlevoix Holiday Merchant Open House
Stop downtown Charlevoix on December 2nd for the merchant open house. Merchants will be having live entertainment, samples, snacks, refreshments, special sales, raffles and more during the Holiday Merchant Open House.
  5. Cultural Corridor Holiday Celebration
The Charlevoix Public Library, Circle of Arts, and Historical Society are each holding an open house on December 6th. Each organization will be holding demonstrations, exhibits, jazz concerts, and merchandise sales.
