The Raven Hill Discovery Center is a place that is phenomenal for children ages 3-99+. Going to the center is a 15 minute drive from the infamous SkyBridge at Boyne City. When you first arrive, you initially are presented with some small amounts of construction taking place and plenty of parking. It is a beautiful property with an engaging indoor center for all ages. There are multiple areas of hands on experiences, and an animal room that is ran by the sweetest lady who will tell you stories that will make you laugh. They take in exotic animals that can no longer be cared for and allows all ages to interact and learn. After going through the indoor portion, there is a map to guide you through the many hands on exhibits outside. The most amazing parts I thought were the hand built cedar treehouse and the fabulous kaleidoscope planter. The views on this property are breathtaking and have made for wonderful memories. Take a chance and come explore. I will happily come back and invite all who visit this area to see this beautiful treasure.

Raven Hill has multiple displays and programs showing the connection between art, history, and science. The owner Cheri showed me the press collection, fiber studio, and the discovery center showing the evolution of technology through time! I want to visit again to experience all the outdoor walks and displays. The Center is geared toward kids but I had a great time as a lone adult.

Have you ever been to Raven Hill Discovery Center? We found this place on the internet about a week ago. We were searching the area for things to do. We checked it out on Sunday, and 2 hours is not enough time!! We will be going back on a Saturday so we can spend more time. And we grabbed a sock 🧦 to fill with change for them! The place does need a little TLC, but that did not stop us from having fun while we were learning cool stuff from Sherry about magnets, electricity, the periodic table, tortoises, snakes, breaded dragons and walking through ancient worlds. We (parents and kids) are excited to go back to discover more. If you are in Gaylord or the greater area and are looking for something to do, please check out Raven Hill Discovery Center.

This place has been one of my favorite places since I was a little kid. I took my boys here recently along with my sister and her clan. We enjoyed our visit and will visit again soon

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her class field trip to Raven Hill at the end of the school year. The museum portion was full of hands on activities and items for the kids to touch and utilize to their hearts content. The reptiles and fish that were kept there looked to be well kept and in good health. The staff was knowledgeable on all of the different parts of the museum and they did a wonderful job educating the kids. My daughter loved the outdoor portion of the trip as well. I adored the one room schoolhouse and the treehouse in the woods. They were beautifully maintained and you can see the love that goes into those exhibits. Overall, it was a very nice experience for a young school group and I enjoyed the visit there.
