Schulman Paddleworks was founded in 2011 by the Schulman brothers after many decades directing a summer camp in Northern Michigan. Their skills were honed on the remote rivers and lakes of upper Michigan and Canada. From kayaking to paddleboarding to canoeing, the Schulman’s paddling expertise extends far and wide..

Bill and his family are great people. This store has everything you would need for the paddling enthusiasts from customized and personalized paddles to kayaks, hats and accessories.

We have rented two kayaks several times, and have always received fabulous instruction and service. Super easy to get started and stop from sandy Depot beach. Good prices for kayaks in great condition.

We rented a two person kayak for a 2 hour tour of the bay in Charlevoix. Beautiful and relaxing!!! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with first time kayakers. Highly recommend
