This is a cute little trail of less than a mile even with the longest loop. It's well maintained with great signage and several benches along the way. The parking lot was small but I was alone on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in early September. A clear little creek runs through the area.

The parking lot is super small. Maybe 4-5 cars max and barely enough room to back up. There is no restroom or outhouse. This was a nice 1 mile walk through an old wood forest. Really buggy - be sure to bring your big spray. I didn't stop for long periods of time because bugs would start swarming. There was a tree over the trail I had to navigate over. There are downed trees all over, so I'd expect this to be a common occurance even with upkeep. Nice little creek flows near the beginning/ending of the trail. Don't be fooled by the path that leads to the right as you get started! I missed the trail sign that points to the left. All the other way does is lead you to the road. Attaching a photo of it so you know what to look for.

Lovely marked trails with boardwalks in the low areas, heavily wooded scenery, and the serene, winding creek all make for a beautiful nature walk. Many unusual-shaped tree trunks and stumps are photo worthy. Although the traffic on highway 66 can be heard in spots, the leaves rustling in the wind, the trickling creek, and chirping birds drown out all but the loudest vehicle noises. This trail is definitely a favorite of mine!

Wonderful place for a hike! Longest loop is a mile (there are 2 loops) . Lots of shade and beautiful woods. Highly recommend visiting.
