I am currently still sitting in Subway, writing this review. Before coming in, I went online to subway.com to check the balance on my gift card to verify before coming in to order. Still had it pulled on my phone while trying to check out. She, Bethany, made us the sandwich. At check out, the system wouldnt read the card. So I asked the girl what her solution is. If they have a phone number I could call to get my balance on a new card. She offered no solutions. Just basically said you can't use it today. I kept asking questions, trying to find a solution, Bethany then proceeds to tell me that if I can verify to her that the balance is on there, linked specifically to that card, that she could put it on a new card and accept it. So I took the time to put in the card number AS WELL as the pin RIGHT in front of her. And re loaded it. And the new number came back with the exact amount/balance I told/showed her it had. Then Bethany proceeds to say, "let me call my manager." I HEARD her entire conversation with the manager, which she did NOT even explain to her the whole situation, it was very evident that she could care less about the solution and was just doing the bare minimum of her job. She gets off phone and says you can't do anything. No solution. So I keep asking questions (which i should not have to do as the solution should 100% be offered to the customer). After proceedings to ask questions, she then says, "you can use it online." So I said, "ok I will pay for this online then. How do I do that?" She said, "I would have to throw away this sandwich. And you will have to go online and make a completely different order." She would not even let me explain to her that she could put the sandwich to the side, while I put the order in, verify it's the same sandwich on the order, and then give me the same sandwich. She would not even let me explain to her anything because she kept arguing and talking over me. Saying the inventory will be off. Like a idiot. This sandwich has not been in the system yet. She isn't smart enough to realize the inventory would NOT be off, and she doesn't have the customer skills to listen to her customers without cutting them off and BE argumentative. Terrible customer service. I have worked at subways twice in my life. Both for long times. Almost becoming a manager. I ran an entire company as an executive assistant at UP North Retirement. I am not stupid, and I know very well how different things could have gone dealing with competent people. I will NEVER purchase an item here again. And I will never purchase a gift card through Subway again.
