Food was great on Mother’s Day brunch! New menu for this summer 2025. Service was excellent. They feature live music starting soon which is always usually very nice. This I believe starts in June?Brunch was outstanding and definitely worth a reservation. The eggs were the only thing not to appealing. Everything else especially the prime rib and shrimp were delicious!! There were many salads to choose from, fresh fruit salad also, all types of desserts and fresh baked and cut ham !! Deserts were out of this world good!!

Food was just OK for the price. Cesar salad pretty much tasted like a bag salad kit. Chickpea fries were very bland. Dipping sauce was good. Nice atmosphere and staff tho.

While visiting our family, we are from Seattle, the six of us, four adults and two children, ate here here two days in a row because it is such a fine restaurant and experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is interesting, fun and inviting. The entire staff were professional and very nice people. Sophie and Laura (I hope I got that right) were our excellent servers. The food is absolutely amazing, with a well presented, unique and exciting menu. None of us have any complaints, only compliments. On our second visit, I asked who the chef was, and was told his name is Jerome, I hope I got that right. I was asked if I would like to meet him and I was excited to do so. What a polite and nice man he is! I’m a bit of a foodie and I have to say what Jerome and his team are sharing with the community, the fresh and local cuisine is absolutely some of the best food any of us have ever eaten. What a treat! We shall return! Thank you!

Good service, awful bathroom. My partner & I had a decent time celebrating my birthday here recently, a few things could have been better. First, the stalls in the bathroom are impossible to secure with the given “locks”. These pairs of saloon style, swinging doors for each toilet can (in)conveniently be opened while locked— either towards you or away from you! A simple bar lock or hook latch, both of which are in the ladies room, functionally can not keep these two swinging doors from being opened. So, any time you want the privacy and promise of not being caught with your pants down, you’ll have to save it for home. Next, the Alden Millhouse cole slaw that was offered as a side for mine and my partner’s entrees was inedible. I don’t know if it had been sitting out for too long, or was too old, or what. But, I do not claim inedible lightly— the taste of the dressing was not like any cole slaw I’ve ever had (in a BAD way) and the greens seemed more like wilted, chopped salad mix instead of shredded cabbage and carrot. I spat it back out into the cup it was served in. It would have been nice, considering one of my sides was disgusting, for my addit order of sweet potato fries ($6) to be comp’ed. But, not even for my birthday, the manager said the only complimentary (bday) dishes they offer are desserts. It would have been classy and left me feeling more satisfied if they had just taken the $6 off my bill instead of pushing $14 flourless chocolate cake on me—which I’m not going to eat. The dessert options for someone with dietary restrictions (GF, DF) are pathetically slim, like at most restaurants. I’ll say that, unlike most restaurants, they did offer a range of mocktails. I would be okay with them excluding the non-alcoholic spirits, as I’m drinking a mocktail partially because I don’t like the taste of alcohol. I ordered the gin sunrise and I didn’t like it much, but I drank it all because it cost $14. I may try an alternative mocktail from their menu in the future, but I won’t be going out of my way to visit again soon. Unfortunately, if you stay on the lake, you know that it’s either this place or bar food at the Dockside—unless you wanna make a drive into town or around the lake for dinner. The atmosphere at this location has been improving and refining over time, as has the menu. They offer more dietarily restricted options than most places around, but it was sad to not have more than two dessert options for my “birthday treat”. The highlight of the experience was our excellent server, Jack. He was perfectly attentive & offered a positive energy to our interactions. I appreciated the happy birthday wishes from him more than the dessert offered by his manager. I may need to get comfortable with speaking to a manager before my next trip to this restaurant.

To start off with we were super excited to visit torch lake cafe since we got in town. We ended up trying to order online at 2:30pm on Wednesday. The earliest pickup time was at 5:19 on the website. The google and facebook page both said it was open so we decided to stop in on the way back to our cabin 45-50 minute in the opposite direction, We get there they were closed. I messaged the facebook page and get an automated response. So we went to the another place for dinner. So now it’s Friday, we decided to give them a shot. We try ordering online again, with no success. So we drive there pull up the order on my phone to tell the lady what I wanted. She brings me the bill. I added two cheesecake slices only to find out they were $12 each. As well as a service charge for nearly $5. I ask why is it there, So she brings who I’m Guessing is the manager over. I had the exact same things in my cart on the web page for $75. With the cheesecake and the fee it was $105. So I said I don’t want the cheesecake and then it removed the service fee. So I paid and waited for my food. We ordered the smoked whitefish dip, Friday fish fry and quinoa bowl with shrimp. The pictures of fish fry shows 3 pieces of walleye, when I got my food it was only 2 pieces. The quinoa bowl says roasted vegetables, they are not. They are actually pickled. The whitefish dip Was good, The walleye was also good I just wish I got what was pictured.
