Join us on Thursday December 7th and Friday December 8th for a cherished holiday tradition as the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra presents Handel’s masterpiece “Messiah.” The performance will be at 7 p.m. on both nights at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts, 800 Bay Harbor Dr., Petoskey. The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra Chorus and guest soloists, led by Director André Strydom, will join the orchestra led by GLCO Conductor and Music Director Maestro Libor Ondras. “Messiah” oratorio, ending with the celebratory Hallelujah Chorus, has been performed every single year since its creation in 1741, continuing to captivate audiences with its timeless beauty and profound storytelling. The concert also includes Gerald Finzi’s “In Terra Pax.” Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit organization headquartered in downtown Petoskey. Tickets from $35 - $65 are available at www.glcorchestra.org. The concert is free for veterans, active service members and students 18 and under by calling 231-487-0010.
