A History of the Charlevoix Lighthouse presented by the Historical Society

Address

In conjunction with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Charlevoix's current lighthouse, installed 1948, David Miles, curator of the Charlevoix Historical Society's Museum at Hasha House, will present a fully illustrated program on all four of the town's lighthouses. The south pier light has been an iconic fixture of Charlevoix's identity for decades, recognized around the world. Using many images never seen by the public before, this program will trace the need for and creation of these structures that have protected our channel piers and guided mariners into Round Lake since 1880.
