Best of Charlevoix Photo Contest

We’re excited to announce Visit Charlevoix’s best of you photo contest. The contest dates will be August 13 through September 9, 2024. The winner not only gets bragging rights, but they will also be featured on Visit Charlevoix’s social media channels, have their picture printed in the 2025 travel guide, and win a lodging gift card to Charlevoix accommodations. The photo contest specifics and rules are listed below.

1. We want to see photos of you enjoying the Charlevoix area in any season. Smiling faces are welcome!

2. Photo entries need to be at least 2 MB to be considered (for print purposes).

3. Selfies are welcome and encouraged!

4. Beautiful photos of Charlevoix County

Photos that appear candid will receive more points during the panel’s voting process versus professionally staged photos. You may enter more than one photo. We’ve included several helpful examples.

Nitty-gritty rules

• Photos of children are welcome, but please understand that by entering this contest, you are giving us permission to use your entry for possible future marketing (i.e. print or digital ads, website images, etc.).
• Any photo entry may be used by Visit Charlevoix for marketing purposes without notifying you. We give photo credit when possible. Official rules of entry can be located here.
• Photos that are leud, discriminatory, defamatory, or any other derogatory category will be immediately disqualified from our photo contest and dealt with in the appropriate manner.

How to enter:

• You can enter via Facebook or Instagram by using the links in our profiles or using the hashtags #CVXphoto24 and #visitcharlevoix (both need to be used so the photo contest platform catches your entry).
• Email your entry to us directly [email protected]
• Follow the link on Facebook or Instagram and enter your photos directly to our photo contest platform.

What do you get:

• Your photo will be featured in the 2025 area guide.
• 1st place winner(s) will receive a $300 lodging gift card to Charlevoix area accommodations.
• Winning photos will be announced via Visit Charlevoix’s social media channels (we will also contact the winner directly beforehand).

How is a winner selected:

• Photos will be reviewed and sorted to make sure they meet the contest guidelines prior to panel review.
• A panel will be used to identify the winning photo. The panel will use a secret ballot vote to pick the winning photo.
• Visit Charlevoix will notify the winner directly. If the winner cannot be reached, the photo with the second most votes will be selected.
