Holiday Gift Giving Guide

The holiday season is here! We’ve compiled a list of our favorite places to find gifts for everyone on your list and we’re here to help you find that one of a kind gifts that are sure to be a hit with friends and loved ones. Each of these stores has a great selection of art, collectibles, foodie items, and stocking stuffers. 1. Confectionary Treats
For the sweet tooth on your list, check out Harwood GoldTaffy Barrel, Cherry RepublicKilwins, American Spoon, Friske Farm Market (bonus: they have a great gift shop as well), or Celeste Murdick’s Fudge.

2. Bier Art Gallery and Pottery Studio
Artwork, handcrafted vases, ornaments, artwork, glasswork, and sculptures can be found at this former schoolhouse.

3. Lake House
This cute gift shop has a wide selection of Michigan memorabilia, Charlevoix signs, Fustini’s vinegar and oils, and lots of stocking stuffers! Be sure to say hi to Ella, resident retail dog, while you’re shopping.

4. Elements Art Gallery
This niche art gallery is filled with unique home items, holiday ornaments, clothing, and garden accessories. This store features over 150 American and Canadian artists including 20 local artists.

5. Craft Beverages 
If someone loves craft beer, grab a growler of craft beer or gift certificate from Bier's Inwood Brewery. If you're looking for a great bottle of wine, head over to Esperance Cafe for a great selection. 

6. Clothing and Apparel
Whether you’re shopping for someone outdoorsy, or the fashionista on your list, the Clothing Company has you covered with a great selection of clothing, shoes, Vera Bradley, and hammocks. For teens, visit Glik’s to find trendy items that are on their list. Thistle features a variety of on-trend women's clothing, jewelry, and collectibles. 

7. The Gift of Food, Entertainment, and Conversation
It’s no secret that Charlevoix is home to some awesome restaurants. Whether you choose Stafford’s Weathervane, Terry’s, the Bridge Street Tap Room, Smoke on the Water, Grey Gables, Rowe Inn, Argonne House you can't go wrong with a gift certificate. Also, stop by Charlevoix Cinema 3 for a gift certificate. 

8. Round Lake Books
For the avid reader, visit Charlevoix’s local bookstore for bestsellers, children’s books, or local authors.

9. Gifts for Kids
Don’t forget to visit Gaga for Kids for a new outfit or toy. You can even find mom a new piece of clothing at Gaga for Kids. Kids (or adults) can paint pottery as a handmade gift at Cottage Pottery, or give a gift certificate for a fun family activity.

10. Charlevoix Historical Society
For the Charlevoix history buff, visit the museum gift shop for historic Charlevoix prints, Earl Young books, and other collectibles.

11. Charlevoix Circle of Arts
Stop by the Circle of Arts for their holiday mARkeT. They have gathered work from local artisans so that you can shop local and share unique, one of a kind piece of art with your loved ones.

12. Momentum 
You can never have too many Charlevoix t-shirts or sweatshirts. Momentum even has unique pieces of home decor items that will make awesome gifts (like Petoskey stone printed vases!). Swing by Momentum to grab some new Charlevoix swag.

13. Castle Farms
It's no secret that Castle Farms is beautiful and has such a unique history. Did you know that you can gift someone a guided tour? Guests get to experience the beauty of the gardens, learn about the rich history of the Castle, and visit 1918 Cellars. Plus, their gift shop has some really great ideas as well!
